About Me

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my services. I have been a Pediatric Nurse for over a decade and mom for just as long! I had an immediate interest in lactation support during my pregnancy with my first child when advice I was receiving seemed not to make any sense to me. I was told "Prepare for it to hurt"?!  I thought, Why is it going to hurt? Is it supposed to hurt? Why do I "need" all these supplies for a "natural" process. Then, shortly having my first child, I met a Lactation Consultant and my personal and professional life changed.

I became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2018 (while pregnant with baby #2!) and an International Certified Lactation Consultant in 2021.  What I love most about being a Lactation Consultant is the time I am able to devote to each family. Few other medical specialties allow you to be with a family for a full hour or more, ensuring all questions are answered.

 

My mission since has been to empower my clients to overcome their breastfeeding challenges and support infant health, growth, and nutrition. As a pediatric nurse and lactation consultant I am fully equipped to guide and support you and your family in navigating the nuances of breastfeeding with evidence based care. My areas of expertise include Primary Care, NICU, Cardiac, and Surgical infant populations.
